Strawberry Shortcake Cake takes a classic dessert using cookies and turns it into a beautiful layer cake perfect for a summer party, barbecue – or even a strawberry lover’s birthday. It’s actually a great way to enjoy strawberry cake slices because you don’t have to worry about making individual cookies. Just bake layers of cake and a layer of fresh strawberries and cream! very easy!
* Ingredients
° 1 1/2 pounds strawberries, cut into quarters
° 5 tablespoons of sugar
° 2 cups all-purpose flour
° 2 teaspoons baking powder
° 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
° 2 tablespoons of sugar
° 3/4 teaspoon salt
° 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
+ Whipped cream:
° 1 1/2 cups chilled heavy cream
° 3 tablespoons of sugar
° 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
° 1 teaspoon grated fresh lemon peel

Mixing strawberry with 3 tsps of sugar also refrigerate when juices develop, about at least 31 min .
Preheaat oven to 400 degrees F .
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and salt into a medium bowl. Adding heavy cream also blend until mixed . Placing mixture in an ungreased 8-inch square skillet and bake until golden, 18 to 20 minutes.
Remove the cookie from the pan and place on a rack to cool slightly. Cut into 6 pieces and divide each piece in half horizontally.
Put a few strawberries and their juice on the bottom of each small cake. Put a large amount of whipped cream on top, then a layer of small cake. Put more strawberries with a spoon and serve.

Using a mixer, beat the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until soft peaks form, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
